About the Presenter:
Rob Slavin
Rob Slavin is a 30+ year veteran in the transportation industry beginning in 1992 at Navistar, Inc. During his 22 years at Navistar he held multiple positions in new and used truck sales, pricing and management. In 2014, he left Navistar and worked for Rush Enterprises in a Regional Used Truck Manager role. In 2016, he began working for Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers where he was hired as a Senior Valuation Analyst specifically hired for his experience and knowledge in transportation sector and pricing.
In his current role at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (RBA), Rob is responsible for forecasting future transportation (medium and heavy trucks, dumps, buses, trailers) values at auction levels based on historical data and considering future economic outlook. He periodically provides training for RBA’s territory managers (TM’s) and customers on the transportation sector and provides product comparison data based on results to help RBA and our customers better understand the volatility of the transportation market.
With over 30 years of experience, Rob has a bought, priced and sold billion’s of dollars in transportation equipment and has built many reliable contacts at all truck OEM’s, OEM dealers as well as independent dealers. Rob is a proud member of the Used Truck Association for over 21 years and spent one term on the UTA Board of Directors from 2006-2008.
